Bangladesh's exports took a hit in October, dropping by 7.43% compared to the previous month. This marks a continuation of the decline that began in August, with exports falling for three consecutive months. However, there's a silver lining: during the July-October period, Bangladesh's exports managed to grow by a modest 2.22%. The country's total exports for the past four months amounted to $16.14 billion, a slight increase from the $15.79 billion recorded in the same period last year. Despite the recent setback, Bangladesh's export performance over the past year has been generally positive, with a 2.22% growth in exports during the July-October period. The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data reveals that Bangladesh exported $3.63 billion in October 2025, a significant decrease from the $4.13 billion exported in the same month of the previous fiscal year. This data highlights the challenges Bangladesh faces in maintaining its export momentum, especially in the face of global economic uncertainties.
